Can I buy several VPS accounts?

You can buy as many as you want to buy and use them as you need. At some point it might become easier and more cost effective to look into our Dedicated Server hosting. Some people use several Virtual Servers as a way to add redundancy into their system or for backup.

Do you have a control panel for my VPS account?

Yes. It is available in your backroom section in the customer login. You can restore, reboot, or get support if you need to. This is different from a control panel you might have on the VPS such as, Cpanel or DirectAdmin. Those control panel software packages are available as an add-on to your account. Cpanel and DirectAdmin are mainly targeted at managing servers designed to host many websites for multiple customers, but can also be used for general web hosting server administration.

What can I do on my VPS?

The short answer is: anything that you like. As long as it doesn't violate our Acceptable Use Policy, this is your server. It is yours to administrate, configure and use as you see fit for serving your needs.

What if I exceed my bandwidth amount on my VPS?

You will be notified once you get to 80% of your bandwidth limit. If you exceed your bandwidth, there is a small additional charge of $1 per GB that will appear on your next monthly invoice. If you anticipate a sudden increase in your bandwidth, you might consider upgrading to a larger plan to prevent the additional bandwidth charge. Additionally, we recommend that you consider server features or add-ons, such as the Apache module mod_deflate to serve content more efficiently and maximize bandwidth.

What if I mess up my VPS?

You can reboot your VPS. Also, you can rebuild it or restore it from a backup (if you have created backups or subscribe to our backup service).  If you do rebuild your VPS it will result in data loss.  A rebuild is like formatting your hard drive and reinstalling the operating system. It will restore your VPS account to its original setup image (what you had when the account first went active) so make sure you have a copy of your files, database, configuration and any other data you may want to keep or restore after the server is ready again.
