The benefit for the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation will include a combination relay race and eating contest.
This Saturday, October 20th, Provo High School will host the Dawg Run charity race. It is sponsored by Fibernet and J Dawgs, and the proceeds will go to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. The main event is the relay race/J Dawg eating contest, where each member of the five-person takes turns running a mile and eats a J Dawg before their teammate can proceed. Awards will be given for the race winner, best costume, and team spirit. There will also be activity booths from local businesses, a DJ, prize drawings, and activities for children like the Race the Hotdog event.
Runners can sign up in teams of five, and are encouraged to dress in costume, whether in a Halloween outfit, hotdog themed, or a team theme. The entry fee is $20 per runner and $10 for children. Runners are given a t-shirt, a J Dawg, and drinks. The runners can check in at 10 AM and the race will begin at 11.
