Fibernet Corp. has recently updated its Windows shared hosting product to include the Plesk control panel.
Orem, UT Fibernet Corp., a recognized leader in customizable colocation, dedicated hosting, and professional virtual hosting, will upgrade its previous control panel software for Windows shared hosting clients to Parallels Plesk.
Fibernet offers Parallels Plesk as a software tool to assist shared hosting users in administering their Windows-based websites. With this new program, customers will be able to manage domains, track their own customers and subscriptions, and build their web presence from their own offices.
Parellels Plesk will be replacing cPanel’s Enkompass control panel as a solution for Windows clients. Current web hosting customers supported by Enkompass will be migrated to the Plesk product for added support and improved performance. This change is applicable to any customer with a Windows-based website (ASP.NET and MS SQL).
“We are committed to giving our customers the best experience possible,” stated Troy Stephens, Technical Operations Manager. “This upgrade to a more user-friendly software will make web hosting more accessible than before.”
Although the user web interface will be different, Fibernet expects Plesk to be more stable and better supported. New features include IMAP (Internet message access protocol), which allows email clients to send emails from a remote server.
